The General Store
The memories of the building that housed everything from soup to you name it. In the back was a big cupboard and table that was home to so many different items. The surprise on the owners face when you went to pay for an object from that cupboard. Had they forgotten they actually carried that product? Containers of penny candies that could be bought by trading in a pop bottle found on the side of the road. There was some kind of a building added onto the side to house feed sacks, salt blocks, barbed wire and other items needed to run a day to day ranching operation. The best part of all was that you knew everyone and the stopping to visit.
Our General Store was built from these memories. Comfy Country Creations has included items such as gifts for special occasions - wrapping paper, too. There is a place for book lovers, and crafts to buy and make. The kitchen will supply recipes and how to. The men folk are not forgotten either. There is a section on wood working and gardening. We have tried to organize our cupboards and shelves for easier shopping.
